The Nigerian Police Force, Imo State Command, have intensified its “operation flush out” LGBTQ actors in the State by stepping up the tempo of investigation and arrests of suspects, respectively.
The fight, this newspaper learnt was aimed at stopping all forms of unorthodox sexual practices.
A record breaking event took place in the state when the den of suspected homosexuals was bursted in Ikenegbu Extension, in the Owerri Municipality, Imo State by security operatives.
Just few days ago, a mob almost lynched two suspected gay practice fellows caught around the Fish Island neighborhood of Ikenegbu.
While the dust raised by the development was yet to settle, the trio of Mr. Ekwenye Uchechukwu Samuel aged 31, Mr. Anthony Nnaji aged 41 and Mr. Collins Amadi aged 29, are currently on the Police search list for their involvement in the prohibited gay act.
Sunday, March 10, 2024, the aforementioned male adults were nabbed in an intimate sex session while people were said to have gone to Church.
Ekwenye Uchechukwu Samuel who was said to have flown into Owerri for a weekend cruise with his friend, Anthony Nnaji, on Sunday morning, had already made arrangements to lodge at Anthony’s place since Anthony lives alone and yet to get married.
For a more scintillating fun, Anthony (the owner of the apartment) made additional arrangement for a third party and invited another random gay actor, Collins Amadi.
Unknown to them, with the intent of covering the loud noise that might emanate from their room, Anthony’s neighbor, Miss. Ifunanya was passing through the corridor when she heard a moaning noise from the room and it happened to be male voice.
Apparently irritated by the sound, she ranged her boyfriend who is a Police sergeant who immediately besieged the compound and bursted the suspected gays in a bedroom act.
Ifunanya, who intimated the public said, “At first, I thought it was a normal guy and girl activity, not until I heard a cracked voice moaning heavily. That was when I realized my suspicion of my neighbor Anthony being a gay could become reality.
“Since they are men, I had to call my guy who is a Police to come and unravel the sound; probably it could be a case of orgy with both sexes. But, when the officer arrived, he had to look through the window blind which was transparent and noticed they were all males copulating in unnatural means.
“That was when they were forced to open the door. At that point, the house owner Anthony had no choice than to kneel to beg, but before then, the other two accomplices Ekwenye Uchechukwu Samuel and Collins Amadi maneuvered and ran towards the relief market”, Ifunanya narrated.
Meanwhile, a follow-up to the incident had shown that during the Police investigation, Anthony Nnaji confessed that truly, they were homosexuals, while one of his partners who escaped Ekwenye Uchechukwu Samuel is a bisexual, married to Mrs. Juliet Oluchukwu and already has a twin Children.
Further details released by Anthony says that while he was expelled from the Minor Seminary Okigwe due to similar incident of homosexuality, the other run away suspect, Collins Amadi just finished his ND examination from Federal Polytechnic.
Part of Anthony’s confession revealed that Ekwenye Uchechukwu Samuel hails from Anambra State, but almost lived his life in Aba, Abia State. He also disclosed that Ekwenye Uchechukwu (his lover) operates his businesses in Lagos State and Senade Cotonou, respectively, although added that the Cotonou office is managed by Samuel and his Cousin brother.
The police investigation gathered by this newspaper asserts that a manhunt for the arrest of Ekwenye and Amadi as well as their clique of friends has begun even though the police confirmed they will keep Anthony in their custody until his gay partners are apprehended.
