Ahead 2027: Joseph Ikunna Holds Strategic Interactive Session With Ohaji/Egbema People
In a bold move to deepen grassroots consultation and strengthen the journey toward 2027, Chief Joseph Chukwuma Ikunna (JCI) held an interactive session with the good people of Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area as part of ongoing engagements for the future of Oru West, Ohaji/Egbema and Oguta Federal Constituency.
The gathering was warmly received by notable party leaders and stakeholders, led by the Ohaji/Egbema LGA Chairman, who is the chairman of All chairmen, Hon. Emeka Alihe, LGA Executives, the Zonal Chairman Hon. Carl Nwokeoma, 12 Wards Chairmen, alongside other respected PDP chieftains from the area.
Chief JCI arrived with a strong delegation which included Hon. Obinna Okoro (LGA Chairman), Prince Dike Samuel Aligwe, and Mr. Kingsley Ononikpo, all of whom were enthusiastically welcomed by the people.
Speaking passionately during the session, Ikunna emphasized the urgent need for unity, cooperation, and collective commitment in order to secure effective and purposeful representation for the constituency come 2027.
He charged the people to support a credible, tested, and compassionate leader—one who has already demonstrated capacity and love for the people even without holding public office.
He reminded them of his impactful self-sponsored projects, including the remarkable “Light Up Uzinaumu Project,” where he installed 290 solar street lights, as well as the establishment of a Palm Kernel Crushing Industry, all carried out despite the disappointment of the 2015 election outcome.
According to him, these projects were driven purely by his passion to uplift his people and improve their quality of life.
He urged the people to imagine the greater transformation possible if entrusted with the mandate to represent them in the House of Representatives, promising to attract development and restore the true dividends of democracy to the constituency.
Chief JCI also advised the people to be wise and decisive in choosing their next representative, stressing that leadership choices can either unlock opportunities or deny communities the progress they deserve.
In appreciation of their time, presence, and commitment to the cause, Chief JCI did not leave without rewarding the people, further demonstrating his gratitude and generous spirit.
The interactive session ended on a high note, with renewed hope, strengthened unity, and growing confidence that a new era of responsive leadership may be on the horizon for Oru West, Ohaji/Egbema and Oguta Federal Constituency.
