EGU COMMENDS ORLU ZONE POLITICAL CLASS FOR ENDORSING GOV UZODINMA FOR SENATE

A renowned Political Stalwart and Leader in Imo State, Chief George Egu has commended the people of Orlu zone for the implicit confidence they reposed in Governor Hope Uzodinma by endorsing him to serve again as the Senator for Imo West senatorial zone.

Speaking to Journalists in Owerri on Sunday, Chief Egu hailed the decision of the Leaders and Stakeholders of Orlu zone who unanimously purchased both the APC Nomination and Expression of Interest forms to enable the Governor to contest the Senatorial seat in the National Assembly.

He described the move as an act that would further enhance the socio-political and economic growth of not just Orlu zone,but the entire Imo state considering the remarkable legacies recorded by Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma in governance.

Chief Egu recalled that the first eight years of Uzodinma in the Senate was very monumental as he did not only give quality representation to Orlu zone,but attracted much dividends of democracy to the whole of Imo State.

Chief Egu,a former Commissioner in Imo State who hails from Okigwe Zone, explained that Imo people would benefit immensely if Governor Uzodinma returned to the Senate since he has enormous wealth of experience to give the best to the masses in terms of services.

“Now that Gov Uzodinma has completed eight years of meritorious service to Imo State,he is well positioned to do more for the state if he climbs higher on the political ladder”the Political guru stated.

Chief Egu appreciated the people for paying the Governor back positively for his excellent performances and services to the populace, stressing that “one good turn deserves another”.

Chief Egu therefore called on all well-meaning individuals from the three Senatorial zones in Imo State, to rally support and work in unity, to enable the Governor to go back to the National Assembly especially as a ranking Senator.

According to him,the political class of Orlu by this unique decision,has not only done the needful for their Zone but for the whole of Imo State.

Chief Egu stressed that if there would be any opportunity for campaigns to re-elect Uzodinma to the Senate, Okigwe and Owerri people would be in Orlu zone to participate in the campaign.

Egu stated that Gov Uzodinma had liberated the state from the shackles of economic deprivation, and changed the landscape of Imo State through high infrastructural development and improved quality of life for the residents.

The Political Leader expressed optimism that more elevated positions for Uzodinma would bring greater political blessings to the people of Imo State.

Chief Egu said that Gov Uzodinma had in various ways shown that he had the interest of the Imo electorate at heart, and as such, will leave no stone unturned in protecting the welfare of the people if re-elected into the Senate.

“Let me appeal to the people of Owerri and Okigwe zones to show solidarity with their brothers and Sisters from Orlu to enable them realize this laudable Senatorial project of our amiable Governor which will be for the betterment of everybody in Imo State”Chief Egu emphasized.
