HOSTCOM WARNS ISOPADEC OVER ALLEGED N500M OFFICE COMPLEX NWOKOMA NDUBUEZE

The Host Communities ofNigeria Producing Oil and Gas (HOSTCOM) Imo State Chapter Youth Wing has warned the Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ISOPADEC) over the alleged building of office complex in New Owerri with the sum of N500 million from the 40% shares of oil producing Areas.
In a statement from the Youth Leader Comrade NJ. Bright to Newsmen at Imo Concorde Hotel Owerri, Tuesday, stated that they will not tolerate any form of cheat on the oil producing areas from the state government.
According to Comrade Bright on the issue of using the sum of N500 Million to build office complex for the commission from the oil producing areas shares of 40% whereas the state had 60% said that it is an abrasion and total slap on the Niger Delta areas.
He said that the state government has shown complete ingratitude to the oil producing communities if they should insist on using the development funds for the state capital while the communities are dying in hunger, lack of infrastructural facilities, erosions and ecological problems. The HOSTCQM Youth leader maintained that the act does not depict a sign of Rescue to the oil producing communities since their development fund will be diverted for others usage at their detriment.
Comrade Bright told Newsman that they are aware of the commission management problems especially on the execution of the alleged N500 Million office project, the engagement of a contractor handling the project, while the project is still in Imo State House of Assembly on debate.
He urged that Governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha can dismiss the appointment of the Board, if he feels the team is in competent than the pranks on the oil producing communities as financial prudence
Similarly, sources from ISOPADEC last week told Newsmen that the commission now have two cheque sources, one from the Managing Director and the other from the Accountant.
The sources who did not want names mentioned say that the cheques from the M.D are not honoured by the commissioner for finance, who must approve a cheque before payment and any meaningful business transaction.
According to the source who added that the Chairman and the Managing Director are seriously under internal fraud investigation, now, are out of control of the commission.
