Iri ji Mbaise 2026 : Akagburuonye Receives Grand Patron Award , Donates 50m naira To Ezuruezu

‎It was a moment of pride and cultural display for the people of Oke Uvuru in Aboh Mbaise local government Area of Imo State, as they hosted the iri ji Mbaise 2026 .

‎

‎The celebration which is an annual event saw an illustrious son of the area and a philanthropist per excellence ,Chief Success Akagburuonye (Akaraugo 1 of igbo Land) as the grand patron of Iri-ji festival 2026.

‎

‎The cultural festival had cream de la creme of Mbaise sons and daughters who came out in their numbers to celebrate the annual event at Oke Uvuru Secondary School in Aboh Mbaise local government Area of Imo State.

‎

‎Speaking during the ceremony ,the president general of Ezuruezu Mbaise, Sir Surv  Joe .O. Anosikeh in his welcome address,thanked the committee for a work well-done. He further congratulated and appreciated Chief Barr Success Akagburuonye, for his commitment in the development of Mbaise Nation, especially his role in the 2026 Iri ji Mbaise

‎He further congratulated the people of Oke Uvuru for the kind of reception given for the celebration of 2026 iri ji Mbaise .

‎

‎”iri ji Mbaise is an annual enduring tradition, celebrated annually on the 15th of August if every year since 1942. And as such, has promoted the culture, heritage of the people and show cases Mbaise in the global community.

‎

‎He used the occasion to appreciate God for the turnout of the event, even when it looked like it was not going to be possible.

‎

‎”I am overjoyed today that after all the challenges, Ezuruezu Mbaise,Ndi Eze Mbaise and Ndi Mbaise and their friends and associates have all come together to unite to celebrate this festival”.

‎Sir Anosikeh called on Ndi Mbaise to always speak with one voice in order to always remain at the head, which is their rightful place in Imo State.

‎

‎In his appreciation, an award recipient Chief Engr Success Akagburuonye Akaraugo 1 of igbo Land appreciated the award as patron of Iri-ji Mbaise 2026 and platinum award as a Philanthropist of repute in Igbo Land and Nigeria in general.

‎

‎Chief Akagburuonye announced the 230 Skills Acquisition flag off he did last week, where Men and Women were empowered in many skills.

‎

‎He noted that where the resources he used to do the gesture is coming from more will come if given the opportunity to serve in the nearest future.

‎

‎It would be recalled that Chief  Akagburuonye is a kingdom investor and has done so much when it comes to empowerment for the betterment of Imo citizens.

‎

‎Akaraugo has s many Mbaise Sons and Daughters who are under his pay roll who works with Aqua Refresh, Akaraugo Micro Finance Bank , interest free assistance to local businesses.support for indigent children, Orphan and Widows ,Free medical Outreaches,Youth Employment and Skills programmes among others .
