POLICY STATEMENT:

As a committed advocate for sustainable development, Dr. Ejike Chukwu strongly endorses:

Quality Education, which aims to Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.

Dr. Chukwu believes that quality education is the foundational pillar for achieving all other Sustainable Development Goals. It is the most powerful tool for breaking the cycle of poverty, reducing inequalities, empowering women and girls, building strong economies, and fostering peace.

CORE POLICY POSITIONS:

-Universal Access and Equity: Ensure every child, especially girls, children in rural communities, persons with disabilities, and vulnerable groups, completes free, quality primary and secondary education with measurable learning outcomes.

-Early Childhood Development: Prioritize quality early childhood care and pre-primary education to give every Imo child a strong foundation for lifelong success.

-Skills and Employability: Expand technical, vocational, and tertiary education to equip youth and adults with relevant 21st-century skills, digital literacy, and entrepreneurship capabilities for decent work and economic growth.

-Inclusion and Gender Parity: Eliminate all forms of gender disparity and barriers to education for marginalized populations, including persons with disabilities.

-Lifelong Learning and Global Citizenship:

Promote adult literacy, numeracy, and education that builds knowledge in sustainable development, human rights, cultural diversity, and environmental responsibility.

-Infrastructure and Teacher Investment:

Commit to building safe, inclusive, disability-friendly learning environments and significantly increasing the number of well-trained, motivated teachers across Imo State.

Dr. Ejike Chukwu recognizes that ongoing challenges such as poverty, teacher shortages, and funding gaps have set back advancement.
