Youth Organizations in Nigeria have been urged to show more commitments in their services to humanity and the nation at large.
A law-maker in the Imo State House of Assembly representing Nkwerre State Constituency, Barr. Prince Obinna Okwara in a response to an address during his investiture as a patron by leadership and delegation of the Man’ 0′ War Nigeria, Orlu Area Command averred that the Man’ 0′ War Nigeria as a voluntary para-military organization should take more role in the collective security responsibility for the state and the Nation.
He said the challenges posed by security   in recent times demands more commitment by people especially youths, adding that his acceptance of the patronship is to buttress the fact that issues of security and leadership cuts across social status and age.
The Nkwerre born strongman of Imo politics noted with satisfaction the laudable contributions of the Man’O War Bay in character moulding, conflict resolutions, and peace building in the society as well as of youths for leadership positions, and urged them not to relent. Barrister Prince (Hon.) Okwara pledged to look into most of their requests for assistance as it concerns some of their operational logistics, such as computers and communication gadgets within a record time.
The leader of the Man’ O’ War Orlu Area Command, Commander Peter Maduko in their address requested for assistance from their patron to enhance their operational responsibilities.
The Commander used the opportunity to call on the government to consider giving them subvention and other necessary logistics like an enabling legislative act, similar to the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corp of Nigeria. According to the Man ‘0’ War Commander, absence of remuneration for their members as well as other draw-backs is hampering their efficiency. Mr. Maduako observed that inspite of challenging odds, the group would not relent on their contributions to stop cultism in higher institutions as well as fight against kidnapping and Child-Trafficking in the society.
Another speaker at the ceremony was the president general of Nkwerre Ancient Town Union, Nze Jude Nkwado, who applauded the investiture of Hon. Obinna Okwara. He described him as the peoples’ general with a milk of human kindness. He prayed God to continue to lead our leaders and youths alright.
