Hon. Frank Onwumere, the sole administrator, Okigwe local government has underscored the need for people in the area to live in peace and harmony in order to experience the rescue mission positive wind of change blowing across the state.
The sole administrator gave the charge while discussing with the Eze Elect of Umuota Umulolo Community, HRH Eze Ndubuisi Onwumere (Eze Akajiofor OT/OT North) and his subjects who paid him a courtesy visit in his, office.
Speaking against the backdrop of rumour of controversy in the community over their traditional stool, the council boss, averred that the late Traditional Ruler of the area, Late HRM Eze Godwin Osu was a man of peace and deserves nothing short of absolute tranquility in his domain as a mark of honour for him.
Pointing out that governance and development hardly thrives in chaotic and trouble environments, he however urged the new royal father to extend the olive branch as well as build bridges of mutual understanding and peaceful co-existence across all factions.
He reiterated Governor Rochas Okorocha’s resolve to make traditional rulers the beacon of grossroot development and integral part of his administration and advocated support for the Governor while assuring to do his best to develop all the communities in Okigwe.
Replying, Eze Onwumere extolled the council boss for granting them audience, maintaining that his domain has been peaceful as all factions according to him are currently under one umbrella and assured government of their support.
