President Jonathan Honours Owerri Born ACP Okoro, Others

Owerri born Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Dan Okoro was among other police officers honoured by President Goodluck Jonathan at the celebration of Nigeria Police Week held in Abuja on Monday.

ACP Okoro who is also the Chief Security Officer to the Inspector General of Police, IGP Mohammed Abubakar was honoured for his diligence, commitment and professional conduct in service.

The Police week ceremony, which was held last 37 years ago, was revived by the IGP as part of his resolve to give Nigerians a new and reformed Nigeria Police Force made up of refined, dedicated, reliable Force men and women.

Several activities such as Symposia, commissioning of vehicles to colourful parades and displays, presentation of awards of meritorious professional excellence by President Jonathan to deserving officers, including ACP Okoro, was the highlight of the ceremony.

Speaking to newsmen on the award, the personal Assistant to ACP Okoro, Prince Emma Okere, described the Owerri born ACP as a refined police officer and gentleman who deserves the honour.

He said ACP Okoro had earlier being honoured by the Inspector General of Police, Muhammed Abubakar in recognition of his unflinching commitment and dedication to duty.

“ ACP Dan Okoro is a rare gift to the Nigerian nation whose sterling leadership qualities  are worthy of emulation by the youth of our country” Okere stated.

Diplomats Bible Institute Orji Convocates 12

It was an atmosphere of praises, worship, thanksgiving and celebration in the on the 28th of April 2013 at Heaven Embassy Auditorium in Orji Owerri North, as the Diplomats Bible Institute Convocates 12 Diplomats during its 7th convocation ceremony.

In his speech, the Chairman Governing Council of the institute, Bishop Chris Elimiaga, reminisced on the formative years of the Bible Institute which was driven with the vision of Equipping Diplomats for Mission. The Bishop could not hide his excitement of in watching the seventh convocation ceremony of the institution.

The address went further to highlight some of the features that make the institution unique which in his own assertion include a curriculum that is based strictly on the word of God not doctrine of any denomination motivate diplomats to obey God’s word with ease, a designed program based on practical knowledge of the scripture and not theology among other features.

He also emphasized that the institution provides appropriate training and grooming play ground for everyone who wants to serve and make impact for Christ in his or her generation. The infrastructural facilities and equipment to put in place for effective and efficient achievement of the institution ideas, geared toward the advancement of the kingdom of God here on earth.

Bishop Elimiaga concluded by disclosing that the Diplomat Institute is poised to raise violent kingdom soldiers that will capture the world for Christ. Some of the Diplomats include Nwagu Emmanuel, Anyamele Uchechi, Akimloye Akimgbade, Nwadima Victor, Ogbonna Victoria.
