There are indications that the former National Woman Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, Dr Mrs Kema Chikwe may not return to office after the mini-convention of the party billed for next month.

Kema Chikwe with others had resigned their positions following directive from the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC that they emerged without following due process.

However, while the likes of Bar Olisa Metu, who was the former National Publicity Secretary has picked form for a fresh Congress, Dr Kema Chikwe is said to yet pick the form as she was weighing all the options, in order not to embark in an exercise that may end futility.

Already, Bar (Mrs) Onyibo Nwaneri has been appointed the National Woman Leader in the interim, while everybody wait for the real convention.

But information reaching Trumpeta has it that the former female member of the Imo House of Assembly will join the fray, as she has been anointed to succeed Kema Chikwe.

Trumpeta learnt that Senator Hope Uzodinma is promoting Nwarieri’s candidature, and is as good as she has replaced Kema Chikwe for good even with the party hierarchy vowing not to allow Chikwe to return, because she was labeled a stooge of former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

This Newspaper learnt that the PDP is using the option of the mini-congress to flush out anti-Jonathan elements in the NEC of the PDP, as a way of removing all obstacles for Jonathan’s easy sail in 2015 PDP’s Presidential Primary.

A source in Abuja told Trumpeta that initially, Imo PDP was zoned the position of National Publicity Secretary, but because of Dr Kema Chikwe, the position of Woman Leader was moved to Imo State, to accomplish the interest of some fat cows that have since been dislodged from the PDP hierarchy.

Meanwhile, Dr Kema Chikwe is said to be making frantic efforts to regain her seat, but forces against her return is said to be hydra-headed, including some grumbling politicians from Imo State.

Mrs Chikwe was accused of allegedly cornering everything that comes to Imo State to herself and family, including influencing her brother to be made Chairman of a Parastal, without committing much to PDP than others who staked their lives during the last election.

They said the few days Chikwe spent in office was characterized with crises, due to her high handedness that ostracized some section of the women folk in the party.

However, a source close to the political Amazon said all accusations against Dr Mrs Kema Chikwe are false but due to jealousy and envy against the woman by political opponents over her steady and continuous rise in the political landscape of Nigeria, adding that Mrs Chikwe will return as the National Woman Leader of the PDP after the mini-congress.
