Why Ehime Mbano Deserves Okigwe Zone 2015 Senate

Ehime Mbano LGA, is the rightful occupant of Okigwe Senatorial Seat in the next political dispensation in 2015.
This was advocated by a group, coalition this Okigwe Development who say that the next senator to represent Okigwe zone in the senate should emerge from Ehime-Mbano.
Speaking to newsmen, President of the union, Engr Paulinus Udochukwu said the COD is an association with a group of keen observers and supporters of what is good for Okigwe zone, stressing that since the inception of New Imo State Ehime Mbano has not been given due share of elective offices and has not been given the opportunity to represent the zone. Udochukwu added that based on this political scenario, it will be worth while for Ehime Mbano to produce the next senator for Okigwe zone.
Engr Udochukwu stressed that the 6 local governments in Okigwe zone have benefited in the past administration. He reiterated the Imo State has 3 geo-political zones which include Orlu, Owerri and Okigwe zones stressing that in sharing of political office, each zone is been carried along by any administration on board. He further enumerated that Isiala Mbano has produced a senator of the federation through Senator Ararume and a Governor in the person of Chief Ikedi Ohakim. He added that Onuimo LGA have produced Chief Maxwell Duru who served as the speaker Imo State House of Assembly. He reiterated that Obowo also produced a Deputy Speaker, Chief Jonas Okeke and also has the current Speaker of Imo House of Assembly, Rt Hon Benjamin Uwajimogu.
The National President also harped on the need for the good people of Okigwe to support someone from Ehime for the senate for equity and Justice, stressing that it will be unjust if Ehime Mbano’s is denied the opportunity the people of Okigwe zone at the senate.
