EZE UDO COMMENDS SWAN FOR PROMOTING SPORTS IN IMO.

The Deputy Chairman ofImoStatecouncil of Ndi – Eze, HRH, Dr E.C Okeke (Eze Udo) has commended the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN)ImoStatechapter for their efforts in promoting sports inImoState.

The Royal father who stated this in his office last week when the SWAN members paid him a courtesy call requesting that he becomes the association’s Royal father, described SWAN members as people trained in the likes of Late Sam Mbakwe, the first civilian Governor of Imo State.

In his acceptance speech to SWAN, Eze Udo pointed out that his life is against people in a negative manner explaining that as a traditional ruler, he stands for uprightness and supports every work that is geared towards making the masses happy just like the Governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha is doing with his government.

He lamented on the need to train our children in the proper way especially in sports as it will help avert the kind of dismal outing our nation had in the just concluded London Olympics.

“Nigeriawill always do well in all of the sporting events it enters, if only the people at the helm of affairs can eschew tribalism and nepotism as the nation is blessed with abundant talents” said Eze Udo.

Eze Udo in a fatherly manner advised SWAN members on the need to use their mediums to educate Imolites to support the course of the Governor Rochas Okorocha in transforming the state into a better place.

He encourage Imo people to believe in the same spirit that is working in Okorocha as it will lead us into making Imo State better.
