A support group of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, known as Ihedioha Grassroots Movement (IGM) has congratulated His Excellency Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha CON, KSC on his emergence as the new governor-elect through an overwhelming victory in the just concluded Imo State gubernatorial election.
The group described Ihedioha’s victory as a new dawn, new era and fresh start in Imo State, just as it acknowledged the commitment of the people of Imo State in ensuring a landslide victory of which made Ihedioha’s candidature to set an uncommon record in the history of Imo State election.
In a release signed by the Director of Publicity of the group, Mr Dikeocha Temple and the National Cordinator, Ikukundu Iyke Anyanwu also commended the support of all its members in particular and all Imolites in general on their discretionary efforts towards making the victory a reality.
“We say a big thank you and you all will forever be remembered for your contribution towards this historical and defining moment in the restoration of democratic excellence and good governance to the Eastern Heartland. Indeed, this is a divine intervention and we will forever be grateful to God. We congratulate our new governor-elect, His Excellency Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha and we are confident that he is capable of restoring the lost glory of our state through an accountable governance,” it added.
