Former Super Eagles winger and coach of Golden Eaglets, Emmanuel Amunike, has spoken about the career of Nigerian International, Kelechi Nwakali.
Nwakali was the most valuable player at the 2015 U-17 World Cup in Chile where Nigeria won the trophy for the fifth time.
However, his transfer to Arsenal was scuttled as the former Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles captain did not play a single game for the Gunners after his loan spells in Holland and Portugal.
Speaking with recently on a radio sports show, Amunike stated that Nwakali is a talented player who is still seeking for stability in a club football.
Amunike said: “I think Kelechi is a gifted player with the quality he has but, of course, after the world cup he was signed by Arsenal which everybody believes that with his quality and the style of Arsenal kind of football, he would be able to find a way but unfortunately things didn’t work out the way people expected.
“It’s a kind of lesson to him because when success comes a lot of people come around those with good intentions and bad intentions, everybody comes with different ideas, but if you are not able to sit down and analyze things at the end of the day it looks as if you are jumping from one direction to another.”
The Eziobodo in Owerri West LGA born attacking midfielder has since joined Huesca of Spain side were he recently gained promotion to the Spanish Premira League, La Liga.
