Following the successful outing of Team Imo at the just concluded South-East Basketball Invitational Championship in Enugu, players of the winning side have epxressed their satisfaction with the outcome of events.
Speaking with Wakawaka Sports Extra, they described the moment as worthwhile despite the challenges the tournament posed at them at the initial stage.
Emeka Ifeanyichukwu said they have to double their efforts when some players weren’t available noting that he will thrive to become a professional basketballer.
“It’s not easy playing without your key players but this is what you are trained for. You have to patch up the lapses and do the double work.
“My dream is to become a professional basketballer, an instructor and motivator for everyone.he like any other basketball player in the country condemned the two years ban on International basketball placed on the nation by the sports minister, Chief Sunday Dare, It’s not a good decison by the Minister. They should lift the ban for everything to come back to normal.”
Ike David said: “It was great, we did our best to win this championship. We were turned up and thank God for everything.”
