The Proprietor and President of Imo Striker Queens FC, Prince Chidi C has extolled the visit of his kinsman and son of foremost Nigerian iconic footballer, Late Elkannah Onyeali “Mercedes”.

Prince Chidi who made this commendation over the weekend shortly after the President and CEO of Elkannah Onyeali Care Foundation EOCF, Rtn Obidinma Onyeali (KSC) describing the visit as a motivational one that would propel his players to be more committed and serious.

He also described Late Elkannah as a rare gem who’s legacies will remain a tank of knowledge for the young players to draw from and shape their professional career.

“We are very delighted and blessed to have received the son of the foremost Nigerians to have played professional football in UK and the national team were he created records and later became a role model both as player and administrator.

“I must commend Rtn Obidinma for his visit and for immortalizing our hero through his foundation. He shared his father’s legacies with our players today and am certain it would inspire them for greatness.

The Imo Striker Queens who recently returned as Champions of the 2023 Ifeanyi Chiejine Memorial Queens Football Competition in Asaba are currently preparing for this season’s NWFL Championship league which comes later this.

The Coach Nelly Orisakwe tutored Imo State team which is based in Mbieri, Mbaitoli LGA will be highly motivated by the visit of Rtn Obidinma as he also pledged to always support them in any way he can as they get ready for the league.
