Imo Sports Commission Partners SEMB, DS Sch Sports For Games Masters Seminar On Devt

In line with the mission and vision of His Excellency, The Executive Governor of Imo state, Distinguished Sen Hope Odidika Uzodinma “Onwa Oyoko”, the Imo State Sports Commission has concluded plans to organize seminar for School Games Master in the state.

The Sports Commission Chairman, Prince Sir Eleazar Onyewuchi Ogbonna “Ambassador” through his Director Technical, Mr Sunny Opara has concluded an interface with the State’s Sports Director of School Sports and the Secretary General of Secondary Education Management Board SEMB, to organize a seminar for Games Masters of all Secondary Schools in Imo State tagged “Teaching The Teachers For Students Development”.

Speaking to the Sports Commission Media, Mr Sunny Opara Ekeocha who also doubles as the South East Vice President/Imo State Chairman of Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria YSFON, said modalities for the programme will soon be made public.

He noted that the aim is to seamlessly reinvigorate sports in our schools by retraining the Games Masters and ensure that talented students who may wish to pursue any sports of their choice professional are giving the basics and encouraged to be disciplined and dedicated.

He expressed that in line with the 3R/Shared Prosperity mantra of Gov Hope Uzodimma’s administration, the Imo Sports Commission Boss, Prince Ogbonna is working round the clock to revive and restore the lost glory of sports in Imo which he noted is a very ideal for the government’s programme particularly for the youths as well as employment curbing social vices.
