… Says, 3R-Led Administration Has Exceedingly Done Well

The National Vice Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in the South East zone, Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu has commended the Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma for the new minimum wage salary structure for Civil Servants in Imo State.
The applause was also extended to the Governor for setting modalities towards offsetting the backlog of pension gratuities owed to Pensioners in the State by previous administrations.
Recall that joy erupted across Imo State last week when Uzodimma broke the news when he had the leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress in the government house, Owerri.
He also disclosed that medical doctors in the State Civil Service will now earn N533,000 as their monthly salary.
According to Uzodimma, the upward wage review was made possible by increased internally generated revenue and higher federal allocations. He noted that the revised salary structure is designed to stimulate the state’s economy while enhancing the morale and productivity of workers.
Enticed by this Executive move, Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu has described the action as not only welcoming, but another pragmatic effort of Uzodimma that has proved him a listening and caring Governor.
He disclosed that such gesture can only be practicable under the administration of a selfless leader, pointing out that while other States are yet to implement the seventy thousand naira (#70,000) minimum wage, Uzodimma surprised Imo workers with additional amount of monthly salaries reading to one hundred and four thousand naira (#104,000).
In addition, Dr. Arodiogbu recalled that before now, Governor Hope Uzodimma’s-led administration has been paying a thirteenth month salary to Imo workers .
Speaking further, the South East APC National Vice Chairman flashed back on the numerous welfare packages from the 3R administration of Uzodimma to Imo State Civil Service including the provision of Staff coaster buses to ease off transportation burdens on them, the recent promotion of workers, among others.
“While the Imo State Civil Servants are still savouring these benefits; comes this one on salary increment. His Excellency, Governor Hope Uzodimma is not contesting for another tenure as a Governor after this tenure, so this is the man exemplifying his love and passion for the people he governs. We haven’t had such a pragmatic Governor for decades. I commend him wholeheartedly for these kind gestures. Ndi Imo will never forget in a hurry”, said Arodiogbu.
Moreso, he hailed the governor for the payment of backlog of pensions and gratuities owed to the Senior Citizens by previous regimes which reads into billions of naira.
According to the technocrat, the APC administrations in the Federal and Imo State
have continued to live up to expectations in the protection of the interest of the people.
Not forgetting other Infrastructural achievements, Arodiogbu salute Uzodimma’s doggedness and foresight, adding that all roads in disrepair before his advent to the government house have all been fixed and now, Ndi Imo can boast of quality roads network.
Therefore, he called for all hands to be on deck and support the government policies and programs to thrive.
