Bishop’s Chaplain, Rev Oparanozie, of Anglican Communion Egbu Harps on Sacrifices for God.

 

The Chaplain 11 of the Bishop of

Diocese of Egbu Anglican Communion , Rev. Gospel Oparanozie has emphasized the power of sacrifice in attracting the favour of God.

He cited several Bible references on obedience to God’s word including the case of Cain and Abel and the subsequent acceptance of Abel’s sacrifice and the rejection of Cain’s stressing also the significance of the case of Abraham whom God had urged to sacrifice his convenant child, Isaac, his only son, resulting in God describing Abraham as a faithful servant and the fulfilment of God’s favours.

 

Rev Oparanozie who is also the Priest in charge of Glory of God Anglican Church, Umuoforcha, Umudibia, Nekede in Owerri West LGA, Imo State, disclosed this in his homily at a special service recalling God’s assurance to Christians that they shall multiple and increase so long as they cue into and we’re obedient to the ordiences of God.

 

He explained that God is the true source of power universely, the omniscient and omipotent and cautioned those in the habit of boosting of the capacity to cause deadly harm to others to resist from such as nobody can cause anything when God had not stressing God’s capability to do all things with the ability to apply that uniqueness of His power to the benefits of mankind.

 

Rev Oparanozie advised that in making their offering they should always do so with diligence, sincerity of heart and willingly without grudges but a broad mind adding that whatever they do to God has its rewards which he said may not be immediate but certainly will manifest one day.

God he said regretted destroying the world with the rainand reminded mankind of God’s promise never to distroy the world again with flood .
