Uneasy Calm in Imo ADC As Chieftain Dumps Party, State Exco Position,

Members of the ADC in Imo state are in a quiet mood at the moment following the unexpected resignation of the party’s legal adviser, Kissinger Ikeokwu.

Ikeokwu, a popular Owerri based legal professional cum politician until his letter of resignation from the position and party surfaced was the legal officer.

Noted to be a strong ally of the former Governor of Imo State Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha, Ikeokwu had been Legal Adviser of PDP before Ihedioha and co-travellers moved to ADC.

Early this week, Ikeokwu from Isiala Mbano pulled out a surprise resignation letter from the party and position, thereby stunning the political space in Imo.

Though, his next designation in terms of party lining was not made public but there are indications his is heading to the ruling APC.

Trumpeta learnt of a possible realignment which will see him change party platforms to embrace APC.

The tone of his letter speaks volumes of not dumping partisan politics but changing platforms where he can be meaningful to the growth of the state.

Since the letter surfaced and became the subject of discussion in the state, ADC is yet to make an official statement, fueling speculation that Ikeokwu’s dumping of the party was a thunderbolt.

ADC party officials are yet to react to the resignation of their Legal Adviser who once served as Campaign spokesperson of Rt Hon Ihedioha and his Rebuild Imo political structure.
