As the Imo Gubernatorial elections continues to gain momentum , expectations are high for an Owerri Zone Son to occupy Douglas House .

Over the weekend a top Contender in the upcoming Governorship election and the fore bearer of ” REGIM 2027″, Dr. Reginald Uchenna Amadi led a delegation of political heavyweights and Community leaders on a consultation tour of some parts of Imo state.

Dr.Amadi who doubles as the chairman of the 2026 Mgbubuzo /Iri ji Egbu Festival , led his team to the Palace of His Royal Majesty Eze Mitchell Uchenna Egbukole ” Ochoronma VI of Egbu Ancient kingdom” in felicitations for the culltural festival,

In his Address at the 2026 Mgbubuzo cum Iri ji Egbu Festival Dr. Amadi whose presence shook the crowed and added glamour to the year’s festival on arrival at All Saints Anglican Church , congratulated the indigenes of Egbu Autonomous Community for upholding the iriji Culture , he maintained that the people of Egbu Ancient kingdom has also contributed immensey in the development of Imo state .

Dr. Amadi who has earlier participated in the commissioning of 2 recently renovated classroom blocks courtesy of Mezie Egbu age grade , also applauded the members of the age grade for making Education their priority .

In a related development , Dr. Amadi accompanied by his wife and his team took a tour to Amuzi in Obowo local Government Area, in Okigwe Zone of imo state , where they were given a warm welcome by the Women of Amuzi Communities Development Association (ACDAWW) .

The event at Obowo took a new turn as the women who were in a very joyful mood welcomed their in-Law Dr. Amadi and Lolo Uzoamaka Amadi who was conferred with an ” Opuruiche Nwanyi” award in appreciation for her good works towards humanity .

responding to the guesture , Dr. Amadi who felt very delighted for the honour and love shown to him and his wife , assured his continual support to the association and Imo people .

Dr. Amadi Unveiled his Governorship intentions to the gathering , he stressed on the need for good Governance to be enthroned for the well being of Imo Citizens.

The Scenerio was not different at Our Lady Of Mount Carmel, Mother Parish Emekuku Where Dr. Amadi was confered with the prestigious

” Ezi Di” title by the Home and Abroad Women in commemoration of their 2026 August meeting . And the tour was wrapped off in Awaka Autonomous Community in Owerri North LGA of Imo state, where Lolo Uzoamaka Amadi was equally honoured with “Ugosinachi ” title respectively.

Meanwhile reports from indigenes of various Communities visited who interracted with our reporters has shown that imo citizens have been clamouring to have Dr. Reginald Amadi as their Governor come 2027 . Dr. Amadi was described as a man of immense vision and with patriotic desires to develop and transform Imo state if given the mandate to serve .

It would be recalled that the Philantropic Icon , United States based business mugul Dr. Reginald Uchenna Amadi , was recently welcomed into the Imo gubernatorial race .

Dr .Amadi the fore bearer of REGIM 2027 who hails from Emekuku.has earlier expressed dismay on the high level of poverty and insecurities that have for long bedeviled the State and the nation at large. As he Extolled Governor Hope Uzodimma for his visionary leadership and for harnessing the 3R administration to provide massive infrastructural developments and transformations, which he said has been instrumental to a boasterous Imo economy.

Dr. Amadi also stressed on the need to fixed up the rural roads,

fight against insecurities, alleviate poverty , job creation and other socioeconomic needs of the people to be given a priority.

Hear him ; “The Road needs to be fix, the State is lagging behind in so many socioeconomic sectors when compared with other States of the Federation. My mission is wholistic development and transformation of the State, am not interested in the wealth of the State, am absolutely comfortable and my businesses are doing well.

“The issue is not about political party, the fundamental issue is an individual who can perform, the State needs the right calibre of person as a credible candidate, we can not continue to make the same mistake every time. This is our chance again to change the ugly narratives of incompetence, corruption, ungodliness and selfishness.

“People are hungry and dying. Obviously, time has come and the narrative should be thinking for the betterment of the people and the State. I am for the populace, am not desperate at all about the job of governorship, am more interested in us electing the right person. It could be me or any other person, for me, job creation is paramount. It’s time for new dawn and I have the Midas touch to turn things better” he earlier emphersized.

According to his abridged citation , Dr. Reginald Amadi a jolly good fellow , hail from Emekuku in Owerri North Local Government Area of Imo State , despite being an orphan from the age of 6 he was not demoralized , he is a graduate of University of Portharcout were he studied Political Science, before he travelled to the United States of America where he obtained 4 more degrees, he is based in Maryland where he has contributed his quota he is a devoted christian , Dr. Amadi is well travelled
