No Imposition of Candidates In 2015 -Jerry Chukwueke Assures Party Members

The Chairman of Imo State PDP Contact and Mobilization Committee, Chief Jerry Chukwueke, has re-iterated the party’s desire to shun imposition of personalities in every political and appointment positions as he re- affirmed the Party’s commitment to deliver aspirants of the PDP who earns the support from his/her people, by urging members of the PDP to support the re-election of the President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015.
While expressing his dismay on the Governor Rochas Okorocha led administration, Chukwueke said that the Central Bank of Nigeria had recently stamped its seal on Imo state lending’s, noting that the government of Imo State have no project worth N500billion naira out of the over N100billion Naira loan collected by the Imo state Government, he stressed that the essence of good governance is to better the standard of living, create wealth and minimize poverty which he said only the PDP has the right capacity of delivering when elected into power in2015.
Speaking earlier, the Chairman of PDP in Njaba LGA Dr. Theo Ezeala stated that Njaba PDP has one of the most stable members in Imo state, stressing that its stability is as a result of the moral support and financial assistance of PDP Chieftains/Leaders in the local government which has in-turn made other parties to collapse into the PDP.
Speaking, Rt. Hon. Chuma Nnaji in his statement noted that the present administration led by Rochas Okorocha has killed the dynamism and right of Town Unions and local government councils, insisting that the system cannot be replaced with the Community Government Council, as he advocated for the known functional system to continue for the growth of the state.
Contributing, the Honorable member representing Nkwerre/Nwangele/ Isu/Njaba Federal Constituency and House Committee Chairman on Banking and currency in the House of Representatives, Hon Jones Chukwudi Onyereri said that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) performs better than the present administration of Imo state in poverty reduction and wealth creation/empowerments of the masses.
Hon. Jones Chukwudi Onyereri disclosed this while thanking his constituents for their un-clinching supports during the PDP mobilization rally held at the play-ground of Central School Nkume in Njaba LGA, Imo state. He noted that PDP is the only party with the right personnel’s and recourses to create wealth and reduce poverty, adding that he has recently embarked on an empowerment campaign to reduce poverty through-out his Constituency.
In a related development, Chief Jerry Chukwueke has thanked the people of Oguta for their support and steadfastness in PDP and noted that the party will always be proud of Oguta LGA. He noted that since the over two years of Gov Okorocha’s Rescue Mission administration, he has not commissioned any project.
Chukwueke, who regretted that the Okorocha administration has never attracted any investor or investment in the state, noted that poverty remains the greatest enemy of the good people of Imo State.
The Chairman of the Committee, also blamed the Governor for the plight of Imo Youths, decried the high level of unemployment in the state and noted that for the economy of and state to grow, government must empower its people. He thanked Senator Francis Arthur Nzeribe for his support to the party while welcoming some APC members in the area who decamped to PDP.
Earlier in his address, Chairman of the party in Oguta LGA, Mr Maxi okedu pointed out that leaders of the party in the area has been very supportive and maintained that the PDP in Oguta is intact and very strong.
Okedu pointed out that the House of Assembly elections which has been held three times has not come to a conclusive end because the people of Oguta has not shifted grounds. He thanked the member representing Oguta/Ohaji/Egbema/Oru West Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representative, Hon Alphonsus G Ironna and Chief Bernard Ufere for their immense support towards the preparation of the rally.
Also speaking at the rally, Hon Alphonsus Ironna said that the people of Oguta are grateful and happy remaining in PDP and pointed out that they will continue to remain steadfast in the party.
Responding, one of the leaders of the party in the area and the representative of Senator Nzeribe, Dr G U Nweze thanked the committee for coming to Oguta.
He also informed the people of the leadership meeting between INEC and the leaders in Oguta over the House of Assembly election which held yesterday and urged every man and woman of Oguta extraction to attend.
Nweze insisted that INEC should not conduct any House of Assembly election in Oguta LGA until the case in court over the matter is determined, saying that the APGA candidate in that election, having defected to APC has lost the right to contest in the election.
