Ihedioha Says Good Bye To Reps Position, Backs Ngor-Okpala

The apprehension in the air as whether the Deputy Speaker of House of Representatives, Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha will run again in 2015 for a fourth term was cleared last Saturday at Mbutu, in Aboh Mbaise LGA, when the Lawmaker told his visitors that he will not run again.
Speaking to Ngor Okpala PDP Leaders in his home, Ihedioha disclosed that he will support whoever the party produced as the candidate of Ngor Okpala origin, since he had begged his kinsmen of Aboh Mbaise LGA to allow Ngor Okpala produce his successor.
Aboh Mbaise and Ngor Okpala LGAs make up one Federal constituency.
Ihedioha however, emplored the people of Ngor Okpala to go and look for a capable and qualified candidate who will continue from where he stopped in making the constituency proud, adding that Ngor Okpala should embark on the exercise peacefully, in order not to create bad blood among party members.
The top lawmaker disclosed that he has no candidate in mind, and will not influence the outcome of the exercise, since it is solely the right of the party to say who hoists the party’s flag in the constituency, come 2015 elections.
He however maintained that should Ngor Okpala go about it in a do-or-die manner and cause disaffection among themselves, Mbaise will not hesitate to produce a candidate to douse the tension, if Ngor Okpala cannot peacefully resolve their matter.
It would be recalled that Aboh Mbaise/Ngor Okpala Federal Constituency was represented first this dispensation by Hon Greg Egu who was there from 1999 to 2003.
Ihedioha succeed Egu in 2003; went again in 2007 and became Chiefship and in 2011 got the exalted office of the Deputy Speaker, which he has maximized to bring massive development to his constituency.
Iheadioha’s decision has attracted a lot of comments from both Aboh Mbaise and Ngor Okpala people, with many saying that if Ihedioha can convince his people of Mbaise not to fight over the slot in PDP with Ngorr Okpala, it then becomes a sacrifice which Ngor Okpala will reciprocate in supporting whatever is Ihedioha’s future political ambition in 2015.
Meanwhile, Youth groups from Aboh Mbaise who visited the Deputy Speaker in the his country home at Mbutu, donated money to him for which they urged him to obtain the 2015 Imo Governorship Form.
The youths said they were ready to give him every support to vie for the 2015 Imo guber election, as he is a quality material that should not be allowed to waste.
