Imo Political Bigwigs Regroup At Onyenobi’s Funeral

The funeral of Late Chief Richard Onyenobi (Agunachemba Nekede) at Nekede offered a platform for Imo Political titans to regroup and exchange banters. Such convergence of Imo politicians irrespective of political leaning has been rare since the emergence of Owelle Rochas Okorochas as Governor,ImoState.

At the well attended funeral event, held at Umuokomoche, Nekede village, the funeral was attended by Imo political bigwigs mainly from the three major political parties in the state.

At the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, where a special church service was held in honour of the late Onyenobi, it was graced by prominent elder statesman in the state such as Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, Chief I. O Nwoga, Chief Nath Onyeukwu and Okenze Ubochi Osuigwe.

Serving and retired public office holders such as Senator Chris Anyanwu, Hon Ikenna Elezianya, Chairman, Owerri West Local Government Area, Oshieze Vincent Ehirim, Former Chairman, Owerri Municipal Council, Imo ACN Chairman and his Secretary, Hon Chris Uba and Chris Uguoma were part of dignitaries that graced the event former Lands and Survey Commissioner, Prof Jude Njoku also witnessed the burial.
