The Senator elect for Imo East Senatorial district and the Honourable member representing Ikeduru State Constituency at the State assembly, Hon Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu (SAMDADDY) has congratulated mothers especially Catholic mothers on their 2015 mothering Sunday celebration.
In his words, mothers all over the world are embodiments of love, oasis of peace and sacrifice.
He used the opportunity to thank them for the selfless sacrifice they have been making towards the growth of our families and the society at large especially those of Owerri Senatorial zone.
He however did not fail to also commend their tireless effort and the over whelming support they gave him at the polls assuring them that he will reciprocate the confidence reposed on him as their senator in the next dispensation at the red chambers by ensuring that women and youth empowerment is paramount in his agenda as well as other policies that will enhance the lives of his constituents.
Meanwhile, Hon Samdaddy has condemned the spate of Xenophobia attack on foreigners including Nigerian citizens residing in South Africa by the Locals.
The Ikeduru house member in a statement frowned at the unfortunate incidents lamenting that foreigners who are lawful immigrants are now victims of attacks over unreasonable and unjustifiable reasons.
It will be recalled that about six people have been killed in South Africa over attacks on immigrants since last week in the coastal city of Durban and is fast spreading to the economic Capital of Johannesburg.
He advised Nigerians living in South Africa to heed to the Federal Government order by staying indoors calling on South African authorities to ensure speedy resolution of the crises as it is capable of eroding confidence and creating avoidable tension in Africa continent.
