The Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha whose mandate was renewed last Saturday is said to have jetted out of the state to avoid too much pressure and constant lobbying from God fathers and their prodigees who wish to be given one position or the other as he begins a fresh tenure on May,29, 2015.
Trumpeta learnt that since after winning the second term election, Okorocha has turned to an oracle, who all Imo politicians and contractors wish to behold in order to reassure themselves that they will not be left out in the scheme of things as Imo State begins another season under Okorocha.
To curry favour from the Governor, all manner of people have besieged Media Houses to place adverts to attract his attention in the press, if they cannot reach him physically.
Okorocha’s relations are not left out in this latest pressure, as some serving commissioners and other appointees have turned the homes of Okorocha’s Inlaws, Brothers and Sisters to consulting Houses, where they must visit every day so as not to lose faces.
Okorocha who travelled to Abuja is expected back soon to face the deluge of visitors. The Governor is said to have gladdened the heart of lobbyists as it is alleged that he said he will “Clean” the present appointees for a fresh set of people, even though there are the “Untouchables” in the Executive Council that must be retained.
