Iri Ji Mbaise 2015: Don’t Politicize Ezuruezu Mbaise-Youths Leader Warn Factional Group

Ahead of this year’s Iriji-Mbaise which has been fixed for August 15, 2015 and following the controversies surrounding the emergence of a new executive of the Ezuruezu-Mbaise, Youths of Mbaise nation have warned against politicizing of the apex body that binds the three LGA’s which make up Mbaise nation.
Comrade Engr Prince F C Nwoha, President of an Apex Yoth body in Mbaise Nation in a communiqué endorsed by himself, his secretary, Eric Amaefule Uche, the PRO, Oche Frankline Ibe and the Co-ordinators from Aboh, Ahiazu and Ezinihitte Mbaise LGA’s, Abara U Ifeanyi, Elvis Anyanwu and Ibe Godspower respectively, the youths declared their non-acceptance of the said election that produced a new executive of Ezuruezu-Mbaise.
According to the youths, “We as the Apex Youth body in Mbaise call on the general Public to disregard the news of any election of Ezuruezu-Mbaise.
“We want to warn any person or group of persons who want to politicize Ezuruezu-Mbaise by bringing division or ferment crisis in a united Mbise should stay clear, for we will not hesitate to go to any length to stop such persons”, the communiqué read.
The group further stated that Ezuruezu Mbaise is a socio-cultural group that brings the 3 Local Government Areas in Mbaise together to chart their common developmental growth and to sustain its cultural heritage. They opined that the group is a non-political organization.
It went further to clarify that the current president of Ezuruezu Mbaise, Dr Okey Aguwa led executive extended one year tenure is supposed to expire by August 15, this year adding that the drama that occurred recently during an aborted Governing council meeting at the uncompleted Ezururezu Mbaise Hall near Aboh LGA Headquarters was politically motivated.
