In one of the previous editions, this newspaper reported about the gathering storm in the Imo State House of Assembly where an aggrieved group in the House is spoiling for war over alleged plans being executed by the Executive arm to have only five APC members returned to the State Assembly for a second term.

It was alleged that there is a subtle plot by Governor Rochas Okorocha to facilitate the return of few lawmakers in 2019. This plot was said to be in the know of the House members through the State party chairman.

Even as the information has not gone down well with some of the lawmakers who are reported to be planning a push against the Speaker, Trumpeta was informed that the identity of the said lawmakers is causing ripples among the members who are feeling betrayed by the leadership.

Grapevine sources revealed that five lawmakers stand to benefit from the said return ticket the governor would likely facilitate. Said to be tipped for a second missionary journey is the Majority Leader and member Representing Owerri Municipal Council, Hon Lugard Osuji who is believed to be a strong ally of Okorocha. The lawmaker who has not hidden his political affinity with Okorocha is said to be tipped as a form of compensation for loyalty.

For Marcel Odunze, the Orlu representative is said to be in the good books of Okorocha to merit a second chance in the Assembly, while Arthur Egwim (Ideato North) and Isu State Constituency Mrs. Ngozi Obiefule are said to be among them. The last but not the least is Kennedy Ibe of Obowo State Constituency.
