The Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Imo State Chapter, will hold its Ward and LGA Congresses to elect Delegates to represent the State at the National Convention billed for Abuja between December 9th&10th 2017.
According to information available to Trumpeta, the Ward Congress will hold on November 11, 2017 to produce three Delegates each from the Wards, who will then move to the Local Government Areas to elect a National Delegate from each LAG that will represent the Imo State PDP at the Abuja National Convention.
Trumpeta learnt that the exercise will commence on Saturday from 11am prompt, where party members will line up to elect their choice candidates at the Ward levels.
The three delegates that would emerge at the Ward levels will proceed to elect the National Delegates at the Local Government level.
These National Delegates are those to vote for a new PDP National Chairman that will emerge on December 9, 2017 at the party’s National Convention Scheduled to hold in Abuja.
The National Chairmanship slot for the party has been zoned to the South, which comprises of South-West, South- South and South-East.
