Imo Community Watchdog operatives have cried out over unpaid nine months salaries and allowances which the State government has refused to pay them.

The aggrieved security men on Thursday besieged the office of the Secretary to Imo State Government SGI to complain and ask for their money but unfortunately the SGI Sir George Eche was not around.

Some of them who spoke to our reporter on the issue regretted why government should treat them bad after all the hard work they did.

The aggrieved security men also narrated their ordeal in the hands of their leaders, adding that a labourer deserves his or her wages for things to work well especially this Christmas period.

One of the Coordinator of ICW in Ngor Okpala in his own submission explained that their visit is to discuss with SGI and know the way forward. He hinted that most of the people that came to complain were mostly security operatives from Ngor Okpala LGA. According to him Umuhu autonomous community ward nine (9), Umuohiagu ward (11) Ngor Okpala ward three (3) Ozuzu Obike Elelem ward four (4) are facing difficult times. He therefore called on the government to come to their Aides and rescue the ICW operatives before they die on hunger.

The issue of unpaid salaries have gone to alarming rate as concerned citizens now call on the governor to as a matter of urgency invite the boss of ICW Pastor Frank Onwumere to ascertain the true position.
