Hope Rises For Ahiazu People As Andrew Amaechi Declares Interest

People of Ahiazu Mbaise Local Government Area, Imo State can now have a cause to heave sigh of relief, as a humanist, from Obodo Ahiara, Amb. Andrew Onyedikachi Amaechi has assured of better days ahead.

Although Andrew is said to have carved a niche for himself, through acts of humanity and philanthropy for ages, he has sworn to further give his people the desired representation due to them.

Reassuring his Ahiazu Mbaise kinsmen of his resolve to selfless service if elected into the Imo State House of Assembly come 2019 general elections, Amb. Amaechi said his firm determination to vie for the Assembly seat is to further better the lives of his people.

The top flight aspirant, under the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, in a media chat with Trumpeta Newspapers said, “I have the burning desire to serve my people. I believe in selfless service, with my resources, time and knowledge. Ahiazu Mbaise people deserve the best”.

The real estate guru (Developer) opined that he intend to develop local content and local economies for local businesses to thrive, stressing that rapid rural development will be fast tracked through indigenes of the  community with the technical experience.

Aside lawmaking and oversight functions which are principal duties of a legislator, Andrew revealed that if given the opportunity, he will expand to other amenities that have eluded them in the past.

He hopes engaging local contractors and Ahiazu Mbaise youths who are engineering students in FUTO in the construction of community roads. He disclosed that their roads will be made motorable through the use of industrial interlocking stones, which he said are affordable. Hence, he opined, “The days of asphalting are gone “On empowerment programs, the “best Imo entrepreneur of the year 2017” posited that he would engage both graduates/undergraduates in skills acquisition programs and vocational training. He said the project would make them self reliant and not to be dependent on white collar jobs.

“Past leaders focused on skill acquisition only, but with an accredited vocational study center, pupils will be certified and thought proper management skills, communication skills, interpersonal skills and risk management skills”.

He continued, “During my time, I promise that Ahiazu Mbaise is guaranteed to have a minimum of 10 Hours power supply daily. I will reach an agreement with the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company, EEDC, in ensuring that Ahiazu Mbaise receives a considerable power supply. Without power, our hope of developing local economies cannot be achieved, as energy plays a major role in the economic development”.

Meanwhile, the ‘proud employer of labour’ frowned at the crop of politicians who have been reposed with much confidence, saying that they turned out to be regrets, due to their inordinate ambition for self enrichment and greed.

However, he enjoined the electorates to be wary of sweet coated tongues and never to make past mistakes in the upcoming elections.
