Accord Begins Mass Mobilization In Imo

Accord Party in Imo State has commenced mass mobilization of members in the entire twenty seven LGAs of Imo State.

According to information available to Trumpeta, the party has started erecting structures in the Wards, by setting up Executives that will mobilize for the party in the political wards in Imo State.

This Newspaper was informed that it has not been an easy task for the party to move into the grass roots, as it seemed other political parties had already gained grounds before Accord.

However, Trumpeta learnt that since the former Governor of Imo State, Chief Ikedi Ohakim became the Governorship candidate of the Accord, the party’s fortunes have gradually turned for the better as members of other political parties are considering joining Accord.

A source told this Newspaper that in order to attract more members before elections commence the party is now poaching members from PDP, APGA, SDP, APC and other parties.

Trumpeta also learnt that the crisis rocking the party over the State chairmanship position has been laid to rest as Elder ThankGod Ibeh still remains in office.

However, Trumpeta learnt that many electorate love Chief Ikedi Ohakim, as it has been proved that he was a more better administrator than the out-going, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, but the only problem is his political party Accord, which is seen as a new party in Imo State, which many say may be the only problem Ohakim has in returning to Government House come 2019.
