‘ELDER ANOSIKE EDUC. TRUST FUND’ ENDS 2012 HOLIDAY EXTRA MORAL CLASSES

A call has been made to the state government and Public spirited members of the society to come and help expand the scope. of a holiday Extra Moral classes singlehandedly organized and sponsored by the Executive Director and founder of “Elder Rowland Anosike Educational Trust Fund,” a Port Harcourt· based businessman and philanthropist, SUN. Joe Anosike.
Making the call while delivering his welcome speech last week Friday Sept. 14th 2012 during the closing ceremony of the 2012 holiday Extra moral classes, sUNeyor Anosike revealed that the Trust Fund that was founded in Jan 2004 with the provision of scholarship to University and Polytechnic ungraduates metamorphosed into organizing holiday Extra moral classes in 2008 with less than 100 students.
SUN. Anosike confirmed that the holiday programme was essentially initiated to arouse academic consciousness, capacity building and engaging . the youths in meaningful activities by getting them off the streets to help reduce crime and to step up competition among the youths through award of prizes and scholarships due to academic brilliance is now paying off as about 850 students participated in the 2012 programme where over twenty (20) qualified teachers handled them in about sixteen (16) subjects right from JSS1 to SSS 3, with a retired principal, Hon. Justus Uhah acted as the co-ordinator of the programme.
He later charged the students to make good use of the situation provided to them as .he pointed out that it will be of immense benefit for their future as future leaders after which he expressed gratitude to all who graced the occasion especially the co-ordinator, Hon. Justus Uhah and the teachers who volunteered to help out in the programme.
In his speech, the traditional Ruler of Obizi Autonomous Community, HRH, Eze. Barr. Stephen Azubuine, Obizie V of Obizi appreciated the singular efforts of Surv. Anosikein trying to help the children during holidays not to be involved in crime and helping them bLliid capacity thereby bringing calm to the community.
