Fresh details of those who may lose their priced land allocation and structures at the ALVAN Shell Quarters are emerging.

Latest information Trumpeta stumbled into has it that the family members of the immediate past governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha and former appointees close to his cabinet also have structures at the location.

An Owerri High Court had on Monday described the forceful entry and demolition of staff quarters of the Alvan Ikoku College of Education, Owerri, ALVAN, illegal and therefore reverted the decision of the former administration.

Justice K.A Ojiako apart from awarding the plaintiff the sum of N400m as consequential damages, ordered the plaintiff to take possession of all the structure built in the area. By the decision of the court, family members of the former Chief Executive Officer of the State, Okorocha are affected. Apart from family members, like the daughters who are married including their husbands, few appointees who served his government are also on the losers end following the court case.

Trumpeta gathered that some of the governor’s female children and their husbands have allocations, while a top aide who served his government, but now elected to be a National Assembly member are likely to lose their land and structures on it, if the court decision was not challenged and quashed at the Appeal Court.

The governor’s children involved are those said to own other major property in the state capital alongside their husbands.

It would be recalled that Okorocha few years ago began the move to sack retirees of ALVAN who occupied the Shell Camp Estate. The move was completed when government backed bulldozers rubbished what the ALVAN retirees left at the place before new structures of the latter day occupants came up.

In the last edition of Trumpeta, the newspaper indicated that the immediate past speaker, Rt Hon Acho Ihim will be one of the greatest losers as his upcoming state of the art mansion is trapped in the location.
