Facebook Sponsors Imo Undergraduate To Kenya For Developer Community Conference

Luck has smiled on a twenty-four year old Ndubuisi Onyemanan, as he was sponsored to the 2019 Facebook Developer Circle Leads Summit, proudly sponsored by  Facebook in far away Kenya, the capital of Nairobi.
Ndubuisi is an indigene of Ideato North Local Government Area, Imo State, and an undergraduate of Computer Science in Imo State University, Owerri.
Trumpeta Newspaper was reliably informed that the conference avails participants an opportunity to explore Facebook technologies across different platforms, as well as network with other facebook developer community Leads across sub Saharan Africa.
Ndubuisi Onyemanan represents the State in the ongoing conference.
While the impact will also enhance technological experience, the participants in return would share the knowledge in their different developer communities.
The Facebook ID8 event in addition to the facebook developer circle leads summit makes input on roadblocks faced in using or building solutions on the facebook platform.
However, reacting to the development, the Imo State Commissioner for Technology Development, Nze Meekam Mgbenwelu congratulated the young Imolite on the achievement by Facebook community.
He said this will promote technology development in the State, with youths as the key target.
Nze Meekam averred that the inclusion says more about the vision of the rebuild Imo government led by Governor Emeka Ihedioha, pointing out that the rebuild Imo is on the course of digital transformation.
The Commissioner maintained that even though the Imo beneficiary was solely sponsored by Facebook, the Ministry will not cease from doing anything capable of upgrading the technology base, knowledge and expertise of Imo youths and the masses.
Furthermore, Mgbenwelu disclosed that more arrangements are on course in line with Google and Microsoft packages, stressing that it is targeted at building the ICT capacity of Ndi Imo.
Further stating the advantages it portends, he charged Imo students and civil servants to take seriously every program mapped out by the ministry.
