The sharing of “Loot” after the war is said to have set fire in the political camp of the present Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma over selection of Commissioners to make up the State Executive Council.
This Newspaper learnt that disagreement among the chieftains of the Hope Uzodinma faction of the All Progressive Congress APC has caused friction within the camp, leaving the Governor confused on how to pursue the selection of his Commissioners and other Aides.
Trumpeta learnt that the major issue now is the position of Commissioner for Lands, which nearly all the top APC shots are either eyeing for themselves or their stooges.
It was learnt that Bar Kelechi Nwagwu, who was promised the office of Secretary to Imo State Government by Governor Uzodinma, which could not come to fruition,  has  now requested that he “compensated” with the  slot of Commissioner for Lands, either for himself or whoever he deems fit to take the position.
But unfortunately, one of the youthful trusted allies of Gov Uzodinma from Owerri Municipal, Chief Macdonald Ebere is insisting that he be made the Commissioner for Lands, not only because he is from Owerre Nchise, landlords of the State capital, but also a close ally of Uzodinma, who has been in the battle front with the Governor even before Kelechi Nwagwu joined the Train.
Trumpeta was told that Chief Charles Amadi (Charlvon) is also eyeing the plum slot of Lands Ministry with the argument that it is the only Ministry he could recoup all he invested in the “Hope For Governor” project.
Sources said that Amadi may not take the portfolio himself, but will appoint one of his “Boys” to man the position for him.
Trumpeta got that another issue facing the Governor is the battle between Dr Fabian Ihekweme and Mrs Love Ineh on who could be picked from Obowo LGA as the Commissioner from the Area.
Sources said that Dr Ihekweme who headed the Hope Uzodinma Propaganda Machine, where he raised a lot of hell against the Emeka Ihedioha administration, has quiet since he learnt that his Commissionership position is hanging in the balance following the projection of  Ineh by some Uzodinma’s trusted Allies.
Trumpeta learnt that the current Secretary to the State Government, Chief Cosmos Iwu is solidly behind the appointment of Ineh  as Commissioner than Ihekweme, which has led Ihekweme into “Sabbatical”  waiting for Uzodinma to return from his trip abroad.
It is learnt that Ihekweme had threatened to “Open Up” on all that transpired within the “Hope Uzodinma for Governor” should he be denied the commissionership slot.
However, sources told Trumpeta that the fear of controlling Ihekweme may deny him the Commissionership seat as he is seen as an open canon that cannot be reined in when he goes off the Handle.
Meanwhile, the Interim State Chairman of APC, Chief Marcon Nlemigbo has been told to choose between producing a Commissioner and his position as the APC State, which sources said has placed Marcon in a quagmire as he said he ought to produce a Commissioner as a Right, and still maintain his position as APC chairman.
However, as the agitation for the position for commissionership persisted, the Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma is said to have challenged all those laying claims to one appointment or the other, to produce the result of their polling Booths in the last election, which he said would be the criteria to select the Commissioners, whenever he arrives Imo State from Ethopia.
Trumpeta learnt that most of the agitators for appointment have since gone into sober reflection, as the Uzodinma challenge is a tall order, because most of them could not deliver their Booths in the last Imo Governorship election.
