A young man who hails from Umuagwo in Ohaji/Egbema LGA of Imo State, Mr Vitalus Aguguo Junior is on the wanted list of security agencies suspected to be from the federal government over alleged involvement in IPOB activities.
In recent times, federal forces have been on a manhunt of those suspected to be members of IPOB, a group in the South East, opposed to Fulani herdsmen invasion of Igboland. Also, the group is noted for pro Biafran agitation as one of its founders, Nnamdi Kanu is on the wanted list of the federal government.
One of the members of IPOB is Vitalis Aguguo (Jnr), who is the zonal leader of the group in the Ohaji/Egbema locality.
According to information this newspaper gathered, an ambush was laid in his house by armed security agencies to get a hold of him over activities of the group.
It was learnt that the resistance of Aguguo and other IPOB groups towards Fulani herdsmen invasion of their area is said to be behind the manhunt against him.
Trumpeta recalls that Fulani herdsmen have been killing people in communities of Ohaji/Egbema, prompting IPOB group to offer resistance which forced the security agencies to seek his arrest. As at the time of this report, the whereabout of Aguguo (Jnr) can’t be established.
