The Youths of Mbaise nation has commended the leadership of Ezuruezu Mbaise for sustaining the integrity and interest of Mbaise nation.

The Youths under the aegis of Mbaise Youth Development Union made the remark recently at a meeting of Ezuruezu while accessing the prospects and challenges facing the people of Mbaise.  The president of the association, Comrade Belusochukwu Enwere poured encomiums on Ezuruezu under the leadership of Dr Okechukwu Aguwa describing him and the leadership of Ezuruezu as visionary and focused.  He noted that the body has given the Mbaise nation a voice and positive direction.  He called on the youth of Mbaise to support the activities of Ezuruezu as there are a lot of programmes by the body to address the challenges facing the youths of Mbaise.  The youths went further to ensure that they will mobilize the youths of Mbaise for the forth coming Mbaise Day celebration.

Ezuruezu leadership assured the youths that they will not let them down as efforts are being made to put in place skills acquisition centers to help alleviated the challenges facing the youths.  They emphasized that the coming Mbaise Day Celebration is for the benefit of the youths noting that the event will let everyone know who the Mbaise people really are, where Mbaise started, where they are presently and where they are going.  Reacting, President General of Ezuruezu, Dr Okey Aguwa, encouraged the youths of Mbaise to remain focused and eschew social vices for progress and development in the society.  He called on all youth groups to participate with Ezuruezu.  “Ezuruezu Mbaise is for every Mbaise son and Daughter and every Mbaise person should see any sacrifice made for the progress of Mbaise as a patriotic and worthy sacrifice” said Dr Okechukwu Aguwa.

“Mbaise is comprised of three local governments, Aboh, Ahiazu and Ezinihitte.  It will be recalled that Mbaise had four LGAs during Mbakwe’s administration before it was abrogated by the military.  The civilian administration was to create additional LGA from Mbaise but due to some intrigue and politics of marginalization against Mbaise nation, it was shelved.  Mbaise deserves about five (5) LGAs.  If population and political history are to be considered.  These and other interest of Mbaise are what the Ezuruezu Mbaise leadership has been championing and the youths must be in the vanguard to support the struggle”, the president of Mbaise Youth Development Union, Comrade Belusochukwu noted that the youths must respect elders and ensure that they remain patriotic in their daily living.
