Govt House Police Attachee Found Dead In Owerri , As Man Commits Suicide At Mbatoli LGA

A police inspector with No. 18 PMF Squadron, attached to Imo state Government House, Inspr. Haruna Kaura was found dead at the Shell Camp Primary school area in Owerri, recently.
In a release by the Imo Police Spokesman, SP Orland Ikeokwu, the deceased had his ID in his palm and his trousers pulled down with his pistol taken away.
He was also said to have marks of violence around his back and neck area.
“At about 0800HRS of today, the command received a report of a lifeless body lying around Shell Camp Primary School Area. A team of policemen was dispatched to the scene, where the body was identified as Inspr. Haruna Kaura attached No. 18PMF Squadron, attached to government house.”
“He was observed to have his ID card in his palm and his trouser pulled down with his service pistol taken away, while marks of violence were visibly seen around his back and neck region”
A colleague who doesn’t want his name in print informed that the late officer who was transferred from the North, was posted to Imo state and subsequently to the Imo government.
Meanwhile, the corpse has been evacuated to the morgue and investigations into his death has commenced in earnest. 
In a related development, information has filtered in the air over the death of a 45year old man from Umudafa, Awo Mbieri in Mbaitoli LGA of Imo state, who committed suicide.
The deceased, one Osita Ezuruike was said to have hung himself in his house.
It was gathered that his neighbours alerted the police on discovery of what happened.
According the PPRO, “On the 27/4/2020, acting  on  a report, operatives of  the Divisional Police hqrs Mbieri moved to Umudafa, Awo Mbieri, Mbaitoli LGA, in a house belonging  to one Osita Ezuruike “M” 45 yrs old, and met the lifeless body  of the said Osita hanging, reason  for his taking his own life could not be ascertained.”
While reasons for him taking his own life could not be ascertained by the police, the body has been deposited at the mortuary and investigations, ongoing.
