A coalition of Youth groups in Oke Ovoro on Monday 19th July, 2021 visited a Frontline Politician of APC extraction in Aboh Mbaise, Hon. Vitalis Onuoha at his Owerri residence.
Speaking during the visit, the leader of the delegation, Prince C. C. Nwogu urged Onuoha to run for the forthcoming local government election.
In his words, “you have all it takes to bring down development to the grassroot.
“We have taken our time to monitor your activities, we can collectively say that you are ripe to be our council Chairman. We want to urge you to contest for Aboh Mbaise Chairman in the upcoming council election.
“You have all it takes. Our people our in dire need of a man of your Intellectual ability to steer the sheep of our Council Area.
“We want to assure you that if you hacken to our Clarion call, we will mobilize both human and material resources to make sure that this dream is actualized.
“Always count on us. In keeping to this promise, we will take the responsibility of purchasing your nomination forms whenever ISIEC gives guidelines for the election”.
In their different speeches, others who spoke showered encomiums on Onuoha for his giant strides in human capital development even without holding any elective position.
The urged him not to relent in putting smiles on the faces of the Youths.
Responding, Onuoha thanked them for the visit and promised to get back to them in due cause.
He urged them key into different empowerment programs of the Shared Prosperity Government as the Government is poised to get them gainfully engaged.
High point of the visit was a vote of confidence passed on him by the Youths numbering over 50 who represented different youth bodies in Oke Ovoro.
