OKOROCHA ASSURES ERADICATION OF CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES IN MBAITOLI LGA

Imo state governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has reassured the people of
Mbaitoli local government of adequate security of life and property of
the people of the area.
Governor Okorocha gave this assurance at the grand reception organized
by the federation of Orodo Autonomous communities at the area central
school.
Okorocha who decried the spate of kidnapping in the area said his
administration would ensure the place becomes uninhabitable for
undesirable elements.
He noted Mbaitoli as one of the biggest local governments in the
state, adding that any leader who fails to establish the state
presence in the area will not succeed.
The governor urged the people of the area to embrace agricultural
policy of the state administration by planting palm trees in their
communities, which he asserted would boost the economy of the state.
He said that the state government has paid 30% to contractors handling
every road in the state, called on contractors to go back to their
various road sites and effect completion, pointing out that rainy
season is over.
He expressed joy over the manner in which the affairs of Ndi Eze is
being piloted, described Eze Ohiri as a son whose Royal appointment is
divine.
Earlier in a keynote address, the president general, Federation of
Orodo Autonomous Communities, Barr. Basil Nnaoma Chukwu explained that
the occasion was organized to appreciate the state Governor for
finding their son worthy of being the chairman of Imo Council of
Traditional Rulers.
Barr. Nnaoma commended the free education programme of state Rescue
Mission Administration, said it will spark off intellectualism and
creativity amongst Imo youths.

In his remarks, the chairman of the occasion, Chief Leo Stan Ekeh,
congratulated the people of the state for having the right attitude to
move forward and urged them to pray for their leaders and promised to
give his support to the administration in making Imo better.
In a vote of thanks, the chairman, Imo Council of Traditional Rulers,
His Royal Highness, Eze Samuel Ohiri thanked the government for giving
him the opportunity to serve in the state, promised not to betray the
confidence reposed in him or abuse his position of trust.
