Mr feanyi Osuji of Agbaghara Nsu in Ehime Mbano Local Government Area, who was accused of rape and his house burnt down by irate youths of Umuezeala Nsu in Ehime Mbano Local Government, has called on the Commissioner of Police, Imo State Command, to quickly switch to action and  investigate the unfounded allegation with the intention of bringing the perpetrators to book.

The plea was contained in a strong worded petition he addressed to the Commissioner of Police Imo State, through the Law Office of C. Anyanwu & Associates, signed by C,E Anyanwu Esq.

The petition dated 13th June, 2022, titled:

“Re-Conspiracy, Arson, Malicious Damage and Threat to Life of Ifeanyi Osuji, an Appeal to investigate Same, Prosecute and Save the Lives of Ifeanyi Osuji and his Family Members”,  Mr Ifeanyi Osuji claimed complete innocence of all allegations.

According to him, the incident started when his elder brother Mr Anayo Osuji, requested to use his new building  but not fully completed to host a traditional  ceremony known as “isi nri Iwakwa”. He explained that because the building was  yet to be finished, he turned down his brother’s request but obliged him when he noticed that he was unhappy.

Mr  Ifeanyi further explained that the event eventually  took place on the   12th of June 2022, and that when the event ended about 6pm, he instructed his wife to put off the generator inside the generator house which has been on. It was then she noticed that the generator house was looked and the key could not be found.

They broke the. burglary and discovered that the door was locked from inside and a lady later known as Amarachi, was lying  half naked  inside. The lady was immediately rushed to Madonna Hospital Etiti, where a doctor confirmed her dead.

Mr feanyi noted that he had never met the lady but that  the wife of his elder brother brought her home.

He stated that it was this unfortunate incident that made the Youth Leader of Umuezeala Nsu, where the lady came from, to shun all entreaties, including that of the traditional rulers and the President  General and mobilized youths who pounded on his home, looted his properties and set his house ablaze. They also burnt down his father’s  building and  that of his uncle.

Mr feanyi who said he is presently homeless, therefore called on the security agency to bring the perpetrators to book and ensure the protection of his life properties and those of the members of his family.
