The Peoples Democratic Party, PPD, Imo State, may hold its Delegate Congress any time this week to pick those who will elect the Governorship candidate of the party.
Trumpeta information has it that the exercise will hold before weekend, and in the various Wards in the State to select Three-Man Delegate to vote during the Governorship primary.
Sources said that the Imo PDP Governorship primary will hold on April 14, 2023, “all things being equal”.
A Trumpeta source disclosed that the general election caused a lot of cravices in Imo PDP, following sabotage within the party, as many members worked against the party candidates and the party.
It was however learnt that anger is flowing among the party members, and conducting a Congress now will cause more trouble in the party.
Meanwhile, two Aspirants have indicated an interest in the Governorship race namely His Excellency Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha, and his perennial adversary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu (Sam Daddy).
Trumpeta was told that the Governorship primary may hold on April 14, 2023.
Information has it that both Aspirants have been jostling to take control on how the Delegates will emerge so as to have a sail over the other during the primary.
