Christians have been admonished to always show gratitude while commemorating the faithfulness of God in ensuring they were overcomer in their challenges .
The Chaplain 11 and Personal Assistant to the Anglican Bishop of Egbu, Rev’d Gospel Oparanozie, made the call during the 10th Anniversary celebration Service of Glory of God Anglican Church, Umuofocha, Nekede in Owerri West Local Government Area of Imo State.
Rev Oparanozie who is also the Priest in charge of the Station had in his message aptly titled “thus far the Lord has helped us” taken from 2 Samuel7:12, reminded the congregation that their growth and successes in their endeavours were due to the divine grace over their lifes in Christ Jesus, stressing that it was not due to their personal efforts.
Earlier in his homily a visiting Evangelist Uchenna Collins Oguike
urged Christians to be humble even in their sufferings as their help was derived from the steadfastness of God. Mr Oguike whose theme of the sermon was hinged upon God’s unfailing love, finished work, divine increase and a faithful promise explained that he was gladdened in heart over God’s unfailing love , finished work, divine increase and a faithful promise evident in the growth of the church from its humble beginnings as well as God’s wonderful impact amongst the congregants. Mr. Oguike appreciated those who planted, those that watered and God that gave the increase.
Some of the priests that graced the event were Rev David Anuseim and Engr.Rev Ibeawuchi Nkwocha. Others included Evang. Liberate Onyeiwu who led the intercessory prayers . The event also featured playlates from the Anglican Children Ministry of the Church.
