Five Kidnappers in Police Net Over Killing of Abducted Victim in Imo

Five suspected kidnappers of the Managing Director of Naija Plaza Hotel Oguta, Mr Emeka Asema are now cooling their heads at the Police Cell in Owerri Command headquarters.

 

Parading the suspects at the State Police Command, the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Mohammed Musa Katsina gave their names as Ndidi Okorie from Amii Igbere in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State, Onyemauche Chris Ordukwu of Obakata Quarters Omuku, Rivers State, Nze Damian Onyenye from Enugu Agu Achi in Oji River Local Government of Enugu State, Ifeoma Ukachukwu from Ogwuma Oguta Local Government of Imo State and Ikechukwu Ossai from Oguta in Oguta Local Government of Imo State.

 

According to the Police Commissioner, the attack on the Hotel Manager was secretly planned on Thursday, February 21st 2013 while they strucked on the 24th of February by shooting and abducting Mr. Emeka Asema, Managing Director of Naija Plaza Hotel, Oguta.

 

Mr. Katsina explained, “However, through the coordinated efforts of our Special Ambush squad, the Command Intelligence Unit and our expanded strategic partners in Rivers State, the principal suspect was arrested in less than 12 hours after the attack”.

 

Continuing he said, “His arrest and subsequent interrogation also encouraged us to identify the rest at large. Detectives went after them and arrested them at their various locations”.

 

Meanwhile, one of the suspects who is on the run, Chika Richard Nwabirije has been declared wanted in connection to the crime.
