Group Set To Honour IMSTMA Boss , … Dedicates Award To Okorocha

The governing council of Our Majesty Global Publication, a Non-Governmental organization, NGO and the organizing committee of the Fifth Nigerian Selfless Service Gold Award, NISSGA will this weekend in Abuja, honour Chief Don-Linus Onwukaike, managing director, chief executive officer, Imo State Traffic Management Authority, I MSTMA.

In a notification letter addressed to chief Onwukaike by the group signed by Samuel C. Ugoh, secretary of the organizing committee, they hinted that plans have been concluded for the conferment of the prestigious Nigeria Selfless Service Gold Award in acknowledgement of his selfless service to humanity.

The award  giving ceremony as contained in the letter was created in 2009 to recognize, encourage and celebrate prominent Nigerians with proven integrity and track records in philanthropy, patriotism and selfless service to mankind.

Names of recipients of the award as usual will be forwarded to the Nigerian National Award Screening Committee for consideration as according to them, many have received national honours since they came on board.

Areas of consideration according to the NGO include Human Rights, Education, Security, Trade, Tourism, Judiciary, Leadership, Religion, Agriculture, Government Ministries/Agencies, Diplomats, Science/Technology, Philanthropy and especially, people who are doggedly championing the crusade to uphold the sovereignty of the Nigerian nation.

Venue of the historic event will be the National Merit Award House, Maitama and the lecture topic for this year is, “My people and my pride when I live no more”.

Climax of the ceremony will be the decoration of chief Onwukaike with a golden medal of distinction, presentation of a crystal plague, certificate and the seal of Our Majesty Global Publication, as his friends are warming up to throng the venue to watch him add another wide feather to his already filled cap.

Reacting to the development, chief Onwukaike who spoke through his media aide, Gozie Ben, averred that the gesture is one honour too many and a challenge that will spur him to be more committed to humanitarian service as he promised to dedicate the award to Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State.
