The embattled member representing Ohaji/Egbema State Constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon Luke Chukwu is in deep mess as his political family the APGA/Agenda has also rejected him and joined forces pushing for his recall.

It would be recalled that based on his alleged misrepresentation and naivety in the state legislature, a recall process has been initiated and receiving attention among Ohaji/Egbema constituents.

Joining forces for Chukwu’s recall are members of the APGA/Agenda family loyal to Governor Rochas Okorocha. The group which comprises political appointees from the LGA, some who have been relieved of their appointment on Wednesday’s cabinet sack, endorsed a document of vote of no confidence on the member of the State Assembly.

The vote of no confidence letter was signed by all the appointees except the sacked Commissioner for Petroleum and Environment, Barr Emma Ekweremba.

In the document, the APGA/Agenda Leaders lamented that Chukwu has failed to adequately represent their interest in the state leading to shortfalls in deliverance of dividends of democracy to the people of the area.

While Chukwu was accused of lacking good intentions for the people of Ohaji/Egbema, all communal and organized crisis in the area are allegedly traceable to the insipid interference of House Committee Chairman on Agriculture.

In the vote-of-no confidence letter, which the APGA Party Chairman for Ohaji/Egbema also endorsed, Chukwu was also accused of masterminding the poor state of and non-completion of road projects in the constituency. The aides of the Governor said that it is no fault of the Governor that no road has been asphalted in the LGA as Chukwu is the architect of Ohaji/Egbema misfortune since Okorocha came into power.

“Of the 15-kilometre roads earmarked for each LGA, Ohaji/Egbema by the mercy of the Governor had 20-kilometre roads. But that is not realizable for now because none has been asphalted largely due to the involvement of the lawmaker”.

The House Member was accused of undue and meaningless interference in the award and execution of the contract for the road projects as a reasonable percent of the contractors were his nominees.

“The good works of Governor Okorocha to Ohaji/Egbema are been rubbished by Hon Chukwu who allegedly ensured that most of the earmarked 20 kilometre roads lead to his farms at Umuapu” the statement added.

According to the group, the state government and Imo State House of Assembly should desist from making available to Chukwu what is due to Ohaji/Egbema from the present government until the lawmaker makes a U-turn and shows remorse for his misdeeds, adding that they are joining hands with other forces to legally pull him out of the Assembly.

Efforts to reach Chukwu proved abortive, but an ally who chose anonymity responded that the action is handiwork of frustrated politicians jolted by the towering image of Chukwu who has performed creditably.
