YSFON SPEAKERS CUP TO KICK – OFF SOON. The 3rd edition of the Imo State YSFON Speaker Cup has been slated to start on the month of August this year. Fresh reports reaching Imo Trumpeta indicates that registration for this year competition has commenced at the state office of the Youth Federation of Nigeria at Dan Anyiam Stadium Owerri. According to the South – East president of YSFON, Mr Ndubuisi Opara, the last two editions of the tournaments has revealed that raw football talents are abound in the state, that can go ahead to take over from the past heroes of our football if giving the right direction and conducive atmosphere to show case their God given talents. He reiterated that this is one of the reasons YSFON is partnering the office of the Imo State Speaker to give the youths a life time opportunity to make a living from football instead of idling away their precious life and time. He further thanked the Imo State Speaker Rt Honourable Benjamin Uwajumogu for continuing the good gestures of the past Speaker Rt Hon. Goodluck Nanah Opia and pledged that his office will continue to partner with the Speaker to ensure that good governance reaches the good people of Imo State especially our youths in sports. The last edition of the Speakers Cup saw Owerri – West Local Government Area emerged as champions after beating the defending champions Owerri – Municipal by 1 – 0.
