Ezinihitte Mbaise Progressive group has described Hon Ikedi Henry Chigozie as the most qualified aspirant for the Ezinihitte Mbaise Chairmanship seat.
The leader of the group Chief Timothy Uwakwe (Ofokansi) state this during a Consultation meeting held in his country home recently.
He pointed out that Ezinihitte Mbaise have been lagging behind in development and other basic amenities stressing that the young aspirant has shown zeal and capacity to address challenges facing the local government council if he is elected as chairman.
According to him, Ezinihitte Mbaise people at this time need someone who will come and rescue the local government, there is an impediment that needs to be corrected, we need a visionary person who can create jobs for the youth as well develop the area, he said.
Chief Uwakwe who also doubled as Chokoneze APC ward chairman assured that they will give every necessary support to ensure that Hon Ikedi Henry Chigozie is delivered as the elected chairman of Ezinihitte Mbaise local government in the forthcoming election.
Earlier in his speech, Hon Ikedi Henry Chigozie who hails from Chokoneze in Ezinihitte Mbaise noted that their people are nowhere to be found in the politics of IMO state adding that eradication of poverty and unemployment will be his focus point if he is elected to serve as the chairman of the local government.
“I will use every resource on our disposal to attract investors, build schools and more especially engage our youth meaningfully”
However, he charged the youths to be more active and useful during the election rather than being an instrument in the hand of the politicians to perpetuate election fraud stressing that no amount of inducement is worth taking risk for.
“We no longer want our youths to be touts and jobless, any person who claims to be a leader but cannot engage or empower the youths meaningful does not deserve it. We must strive to eradicate poverty, the youths cannot be anything less than greatness, he said.
Furthermore, he described Hon Ugwumba Uche Nwosu gubernatorial aspiration as a wakeup call to the entire youth to brace up to their right in governance adding that 2019 general election should be regard as a project for youth emancipation in government expressing optimism that Ugwumba Uche Nwosu will consolidate on the achievement of Rescue Mission government as he will sustain the free education policy in the state.
Furthermore, he enjoined the youths to come out enmass to participate fully in politics in order to actualize our destiny.
