A Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Barrister Peter Mgbenwelu has congratulated the Governor-Elect, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha on his victory at the polls.
Chief Mgbenwelu who is known and addressed as the Dum Dum of Orlu made the commendation in Owerri while addressing newsmen. He said that the victory of Rt. Hon. Ihedioha has vindicated some of those who stood behind him through thick and thin.
According to Chief Mgbenwelu, power belongs to God and comes from him. He said that Ihedioha has actually sacrificed much to merit the victory and urged him to be magnanimous with victory.
“Ihedioha’s victory is victory for the Imo common masses who has been neglected and dealt with as tissue papers by past administration.”
He however, enjoined other governorship candidates of other parties to sheath their sword by dropping the option of going to court but rather, join hands with Ihedioha to salvage the state from its present predicament.
